Girl’s Trip to Rosemary Beach

Well, I survived my girl’s trip to Rosemary Beach. It’s a rough life but somebody’s got to be the one to babysit the beach and last week I just happened to be the one chosen to bear that burden. Feel bad for me.

In all seriousness (because we only talk about serious things on this blog, obviously) this trip was incredible! I defiantly have a new second-favorite place to vacation in Florida – Captiva Island will still be my first forever and always! This charming section of beach towns nestled between Panama City Beach and Destin were so much fun to explore! It seems like it would be especially good for families too so I definitely want to take Nathan and our future children there someday.

I’ll shut up now and let the pictures do (most of) the talking.

IMG_4332IMG_4328A sign that spoke to my heart outside of La Cocina – the Mexican place steps away from our condo where we ate several times. Those watermelon margs? To. Die. For.
IMG_4336 IMG_4339Double champagne mimosas from Modica Market in Seaside were the perfect rainy day pick me ups.
IMG_4350We stayed at The Villages of South Walton (in this exact condo) and I would highly recommend both! There are condos or houses available to rent in The Villages area and our condo was about three blocks away from the beach access and two blocks from the huge lagoon pool. They do provide shuttles that will take you to and from the beach or the pool though if you ant! Our condo was perfect for the three of us girls and the owner was a DREAM to work with. Every night they had live music on the lawn right in front of our building so that was an awesome surprise!

IMG_4366 IMG_4347 IMG_4333 IMG_4356 IMG_4365This cover up (mentioned first in this post) is a total game changer. It is light-weight, longer than normal, and DID NOT WRINKLE FOR ANYTHING. Have I ever told you wrinkly cover ups are one of my pet peeves? No? Well now you know.
IMG_4379 IMG_4389IMG_4372 IMG_4402Charlie’s Donut Truck in the next town over, Alys Beach, was on my must-try list before we even left. It did not disappoint and the fact that it was about a half mile walk from our condo cancelled out all the calories, right?! Whatever, I’m getting cheese fries.
IMG_4380Going on almost 10 years of friendship with these two completely boggles my mind. I think that makes us old. Sidenote, that is the jumpsuit mentioned in yesterday’s post. UHH-bsessed.

Some of my favorites were the already mentioned Donut Truck and La Cocina, plus The Pizza Bar at Bud and Alley’s (in Seaside and yes those are jalapenos on my pizza) and The Crab Trap (in Destin).

Have any of you been to the Rosemary beach area? Did we miss out on anything really great that we missed?

This trip seems like a really great time! I’m starting to feel like it’s time for a girl’s trip with my girlfriends sometime soon, too!

I LOVE all those little beach towns in there from Watercolor to Seaside! We usually stay in Navarre Beach (I got engaged and married here), Destin or Panama City but next time we vacation I’d love to peruse those cute little towns a little more :) Sounds like you had a great trip!

I LOVE Rosemary Beach. I only live about 1.5 hours away and it’s one of our favorite places to go visit. I’m so jealous you got to go enjoy a fun girls weekend. I’ve never been to that doughnut truck in Alys Beach, but now I’ve got to find it!! Thanks for linking up :)
