Look who showed up for The Creative Closet today, guys! This week’s theme is “Beaching It” but since I have not been to the beach in months and jumping the fence to take blog photos by your neighbor’s pool is apparently frowned upon you get “Side Yarding It in My Go to Beach/Pool Attire.” #blessed #reallife
Side note: Have you ever truly enjoyed looking at yourself in a hat? All I can think about when I look at these photos is “no wonder my husband makes a funny face at me when I put on a hat – I look ridiculous!” But wrinkle prevention on the beach is serious business, folks. So the hat stays.
I know have talked about my obsession with this Pitusa cover up from Shopbop at least 387 times on this blog but I have never really showed you what it looked like on and styled and maybe my obsession with it is news to some of you? Truly, I never thought I could absolutely love a cover up until I bought this one. The way the majority of them wrinkle in your bag while you swim or whatever is enough to drive me right over the edge (for real) but this one does. not. wrinkle. EVER. I swear. That alone would convince me to buy it, for reals. Other than that it is SOFT (perfect for the end-of-the-day too-much-sun-exposure skin) and flattering. Insert hallelujah emoji hands here.
Moving on from the cover up, everything else in this outfit has been a true beach/pool staple this summer, too! These American Eagle flip flops are worth the two initial days of discomfort and turn into the most comfortable things ever. My trusty Single Thread Boutique sunnies, an old hat, and of course my Lilly for Target bag to round out my look and I’m good to go!
I can’t wait to see your beachin’ outfits!
