FRIDAY FIVE

TRC_4082

Happy Friday Friends!

This week was here and then WHAM it was gone, it’s crazy how fast time flies when you are just a little busy. But I’m not complaining, there are a lot of things I’m looking forward to this weekend! Hanging with old friends, getting creative, seeing family from far away and hopefully doing some more work on the blog – it’s going to fly by too, I’m sure!

ONE | WILLIAM AND KATE ON LIFETIME
So, I have no idea how I’ve been sleeping on this gem for the past FOUR years but if you have not watched the lifetime movie about Will and Kate (aka The Royals) you are MISSING OUT, just like I was. Luckily, the bestie and I remedied that situation last night and now I’ll probably watch it once a week. Watch it on the Lifetime app here or on Netflix here.

TWO | BOOTIES
GUYS. I searched for a pair of these booties last year in my size for FOR-EV-ER. You better believe I scooped up the ones below (found on Amazon for only $26!!) as soon as I found them this week. They come in 46 other colors and range between $7 – $40 depending on the color/size you choose so run over there and grab some! The color I got is hazel.

THREE | REASONS I’LL NEVER BE SKINNY
Actually, there are many. But the one I’m talking about today specifically can be traced back to the day they started bottling single serve margaritas and selling them at the grocery store. Because as delicious as they are, I think we all know they are not the lowest calorie drink on the shelf. The Bud Light Whichever-rita has been my jam for years but a few weeks ago I discovered these Cayman Jack ones and holy cow, I’m doomed .

FOUR | LATEST ROCKSBOX
If you follow me on Snapchat (rachelemily_49) you got a sneak peak into my latest Rocksbox set (including this gorgeous Gorjana Mara Cuff). I feel like if your nails match the ribbon on the box that can only mean good things are coming, right? If you are still on the fence about Rocksbox use code rachelemilyxoxo for your first month free!

FIVE | CHEER
My cheerleading team went back to practice this week! I was talking to someone about how I missed last year’s team and it just doesn’t feel like it will ever be the same when my friend pointed out to me that I said the exact same thing at the beginning of last year. It’s never a lot of fun teaching a 80% new team your expectations and the basic, not-as-much-fun stuff but I guess I feel that way every year :)

Have a great weekend, friends! I’ll probably be watching Grey’s every spare minute I have, lol.

July Fourth Inspiration

Everyone’s favorite summer holiday is almost here so to celebrate I rounded up some 4th of July inspiration for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

4th of july Collage

1. The prettiest festive garland from Tell Love and Chocolate.

2. I would totally wear this Star Spangled Swimsuit!

3. Blood orange is an obsession of mine so this take on a margarita is a no brainer for Saturday.

4. An easy, breezy, blue-and-white dress.

5 I’m not one for sparklers (fire makes me a nervous wreck) but these DIY Confetti Push Pops would be a good substitute.

6. This pallet tutorial not only makes for pretty 4th of July inspiration, but the way she does her lettering is genius and I will be using it for sure!

7. Such a cute idea for sprucing up wooden flatware.

8. Single Thread Boutique is where I’ve gotten my 4th of July outfits the last few years and this top is first in the running to be worn on Saturday!

9. Love love LOVE these stars and striped pillows from Target. Give me all the holiday pillows.

Beach Essentials + A GIVEAWAY

I consider myself a beach-pro. I’ve got my packing list down to a science and with my Rosemary Beach vacation coming at the end of this week (YAS!) I wanted to share some of my tried and true beach vacation essentials with you. Keep reading until the end for a fun giveaway!

beach vacation essentials

1. Pitusa Coverup ($75) – My latest Shopbop purchase! I can’t wait for it to get here so I can see it in person.

2. VS Pink Beach Bag ($20) – I’ll be using my Lilly For Target tote but this adorable one would do the trick too.

3. Pottery Barn Flamingo Beach Towel ($30) – Pottery Barn + Flamingos = SWOON

4. Forever21 Romper ($16) – I love to throw a romper on over my bathing suit during a mid-day beach break. Obsessed with this one!

5. A Few Good Books (Read my most anticipated reads of the summer here) – GIVE ME ALL THE BOOKS

6. Cherry Me Baby Lips ($5) – A staple. All day, every day. BUT have you noticed THEY DON’T MELT? Magical I tell you!

7. Forever21 Bikini ($30) – I’ve had this suit in my cart for a few weeks and have still yet to hit “purchase” but I love it! Buying bathing suits online skeeves me out. Too much room for error.

8. American Eagle Braided Flip Flop ($25) – I’m on my fourth pair of these exact sandals. Love ’em. Bear with them for the first few wears and they will be the most comfy flip flop you’ve had.

9. Wine2Go ($13) – I take Kenny very seriously when he sings “the sun and the sand and a drink in my hand” – it’s a rare moment I don’t have a drink in my hand in vacation. I can’t wait to use this Wine2Go bottle next week! Wine2Go is an awesome alternative to a regular wine bottle for the beach. It’s lighter, unbreakable and reusable – perfect for the beach.

10. J Crew Hat ($30) – I bought this hat during my spring shopping haul and I don’t plan to take it off my head at all next week. Like ever.

11. Marc Jacobs Sunglasses ($120) – Ugggh I need to take the plunge on new sunglasses so bad! (Thanks for losing that awesome discount husband…) I’m obsessed with these Marc Jacobs ones.

GIVEAWAY* Wine2Go has been nice enough to send me a product to share with you all so one lucky winner can give it a try! I added in a $10 Target gift card so you can fill up your bottle with your favorite affordable wine or just pick up some essentials for your summer vacay! Good luck :)

Friday Five 4.24.15

I’ve been waiting for this Friday for forever because…

ONE | HALF MARATHON
It’s finally here! We are heading to Nashville after lunch today and this time tomorrow I will either be running or have completed my first half marathon. I’m pretty excited but it’s supposed to rain the whole time so we shall see how enjoyable it really ends up being.

TWO | HIITY BITTY BIKINI WORKOUT
Love these Tone It Up girls! I can not wait to getting back to my regular HIIT workouts now that all this running will over with for the time being. This one will be first up on my list – I can’t wait to try it out! Click here for the full workout in a PDF or video version.

THREE | CURRENTLY READING
I finished Dark Places this week and I really liked it! Maybe not as much as Gone Girl – but still really good! It was pretty tame throughout then WAM it gets dark and twisted real quick (same as Gone Girl really!) I’d definitely recommend it if you were a fan of GG though. Now I’m on to What The Lady Wants. YES to historical fiction.

FOUR | PERCY BABY
I mean look at that sweet face. Can you even?! I’ve had more than one person comment on how “unusual looking” he is this week and I just don’t see it. A mother’s love I guess?!
